The purpose of this blog is to explore the business and legal culture of China.

In 1881 Oliver Wendell Holmes, Jr. wrote, "The life of the law has not been logic; it has been experience." Each time I read a US court decision, Holmes' quote flashes through my mind. In China, the rule is the same, but the experience is different.
